At least you know where it is now and don’t need to go all ‘Tarzan’ with the half-shafts.

Hi Leslie, Henry & X5Sport chaps,
I have found that the part number for the correct prop as quoted by ebay for my X5 D-Sport 218hp 2005 facelift.
REAR PROPSHAFT 7549298
Whether I believe ebay or not is another issue.
Anyone here have ideas if this is the correct prop or not,
as I’m still recovering from Covid,
& need 30 minutes recovery time from just a few minutes grovelling under the X5,
and cannot be wasting time unfortunately, & making myself more ill than I already am.
Regards
Grant B

Whilst you were scrabbling around under there did you write down the p/n on your prop. It’ll be on it somewhere and if it matches those for sale I’d be well confident it would fit.

As long as you have a face lifted E53 then yes. Used from 23/12/2004 onwards on the 30d/30i and 4.4 only. It should be 1,347mm long. Full part number has 610 on the front.
Prior version (2003 to 17/1/2005) is: 26107524364. I assume the date overlap is when they ran out in the factory in the US.
