Mirror not dipping

When i changed one i hung the door card on a bungy thingy to save unplugging everything.

I don't believe it's an official BMW reseller, so BMW may try to duck-out of any warranty. However, I figured that a new motor for roughly the price of a secondhand mirror is the better option.
