The gear oil I have is ok for the diffs. All I can find is that the trans case takes atf. Mine isn't Xdrive. I've got a load of Comma MV ATF+ in the garage which is in my transmission too.
According to realoem its atf in the transfer case. Just need a 14mm socket as that's gone awol from the tool box..

I need to do both my gearbox and diffs too and as Richard states BMW only class 'lifetime' as 60k/3 years lol
