So i've been with my insurers for well over ten years, always been happy and had no drama (or claims) and this years renewal just arrived.
Last year it was £410, nothing at all has changed and no claims were made. Renewal ? that will be £716 please
Obviously i've shopped and actually found a marginally better deal than last years price. The NFU who have been great for years, openly say they need to recover some forty million paid in claims from the bad winter weather. Well the're not recovering it from me!

Just got my renewal from Admiral.......£493 Fully comp, three years no claims, and tracker........Mmmmmmmmm........Not happy with that....
Now tried a couple of the comparison websites............Seems like a waste of time though.........Total rip off prices........They all seem to start at around £700.....
Direct Line on line quote comes in at £468.........Still going to shop around..........

Try elephant and bell ( direct on line not through comparison). Also, sheila's wheels, you don't gave to be female!

Elephant, Bell and Admiral are all part of the same group but, for the last two years running with Admiral, Bell has come up with a cheaper quote and Admiral just matched it... I didn't do this through the Comparisons though!
Turks.

£516 with Aviva, parked on Drive with in car entertainment mods declared. 4.4i sport, 2002, tracker fitted, Dodgy area in Oxford. By far the cheapest, comparison websites were showing a minimum of £700.
I found it by going through all of the companies mentioned in insurance threads on this forum..........

So how much of a difference is the tracker making in these cases?

Kennif…………Thanks for the tip………Will try them at my earliest convenience….
Avtar……Not sure what the difference would be between non tracker or tracker………Admiral, Direct on line and the Nationwide will not cover me for theft without one…..I suppose any difference or requirement for a tracker relates to the postcode.

Crikey are you a teenager with a zillion points!!! Cheapest I've got so far is swift for £469 with £250 voluntary excess. It's cheaper if you enter parked on street and play around with job titles as when adjusting mine ( not changing meaning of my job) I got it cheaper. I found that they didn't care if I had 3 points or 6 but other do hike it somewhat!

I wish! (Being a teenager again that is) 35 with a 28 year old wife! 3 points parked on street! Crazy quotes. It made me laugh wen I selected Protected No Claims and it reduced it by £1k.

Your right that's crazy. They obviously deem you a greater risk. Lol
Still can't work out the protection reducing premium by 1k though.

Try adding a parent to the policy, madness at 35 I know but it still reduces the premium !
