Does anyone know a rough price for the tv antenna? Is there any benefit going through car vision Rather than ebay as ebay is £75 cheaper delivered (not sure if car vision charge delivery ontop of the £500)
Thanks

Your best bet is to talk direct with John - he can confirm what 'offers' he can make to you.
eBay is great in principle but what happens if something goes wrong? How will your warranty/returns policy work?
Delivery, he's pretty damn good at - may even get it out to you, without charge. But again, please ask him, I'm just speculating.

I phoned carvision wasnt able to get talking to John but delivery is included in the £498 and there to get back to me with a price for the upgraded TV antenna (Sanj is it much better than the one supplied with the kit?) The price is fixed at £498 and units due in next week.
Sanj hope you dont mind me contacting you if I get stuck in the DIY
thanks

If you get the antenna, get it on the basis that the connector on it is correct for what is on the back of the headunit. Otherwise don't take it!
Make sure you ask for Gen 3 unit only.
And yes, anytime, fire away with questions for DIY.
Oh and reception is cr@p - what do you expect for something that was designed to take a signal when stationary...

Lez, you've got to call him mate. He has all the answers, I can only speculate. Drop him a mail, call or text. Better he tells you exact details.
If you can afford to keep the OEM kit, keep it until you're happy with the new setup. Don't want you to regret it later!

I wonder could we arrange a group buy? I am wanting to order this from a decent supplier, I can order this from ebay at £75 cheaper tho as stated warranty issues could arise. I wonder if a few people were interested in this could we arrange a group buy and all save a few quid.
Is there anyone else interested in ordering this and I will chase a group buy to save us all a few quid?
Thanks

No not necessarily - that's down to the speakers too. It's slightly improved but you'll have to upgrade the speakers to get a noticeable difference.

Anyone know if the Hualingan unit is essentially/actually the same as the one advertised by "TV in Motion" - theirs claims to retain all OEM OBD functions (trip, etc) - however in terms of availability, the site quotes unit as 'in development' and 'unavailable' ? PS their Q&A listing implies this has been the availabilty status for at least 12 months

ok i am pretty inclined to buy the unit but i have a mixed feelings about this OBC part. i have a built in OEM SATNAV and from what i can remember my OBC is within the unit. i guess i have to confirm that when i get home. i just don't remember having a diffrent screen for mpg,all that info display. so would i still loose that option with this swap or is it only for those don't have the oem screen? if there is a group buy please count me in..i am planning purchasing this unit as early as within the next 7-10 days if i can. if there is a plan to buy as group i could wait little bit longer.please let me know.cheers , June will be a lot of modifications month for my X5
