Hi i'm hoping its just because the car has been stood for so long,i believe the accident was back in November.

Nope,bought it straight from the salvage auction last week,its getting delivered tomorrow !!

Your a brave man Neil! Wish I had the knowledge to do such a thing. Just got mine from a main Stealer - No doubt paid over the odds and am still slightly nervous about running a 4x4!! Seen some horror stories about cars turning into money pits - Mainly Range Rovers that said!!

I know what you mean,had a Holland & Holland P38 a while ago,special in more ways than one i can tell you !!! Generally (unless you get very unlucky)with salvage your pretty much always in front,should have the X5 finished and on the road for £9K approx (Fingers crossed )

Ok,finished for about £9.5K !! I was close tho ! Would have been on budget but i have just had to buy two Arnott front air spring replacements and an O/S door mirror, luckily i found a brand new Auto Folding one on Ebay for £150 (Bargain or what !!). We finished the bodywork last week and its booked into the paint shop next week,should be finished soon hopefully.

Well done, I hope you get the chance to take some pictures for a before and after compare, have you had the chance to drive the car properly ?

Great find mate, doesn't look to be too badly damaged - sure it will buff out.

Yeah i'm very happy with the car but the celebrations are on hold until i get the ridiculous air suspension sorted out,can't seem to find a definitive answer to the problems anywhere. Just feels like

The only bonus is that i can still drive the car (i still have the msg on the dash) and so far i'm loving it,i think the exhaust note could be very costly though !!!
