It doesn't have a proper M engine though !

Also it doesn't have a proper M Badge as there is no number designate - just like those that put and M badge on their 520d M Sport

What's wrong with a 520d with an 'M' badge on it :scratchhead: I have lots on mine :tumbleweed:
You don't have an M badge on the boot do you trying to trick people into thinking it is an M5
Currently :
2012 Audi RS4 (B8)
2012 Porsche Boxster S (981)
2008 Lotus Exige S (a bit modified!)
2015 Nissan Leaf twin turbo with Nitros

Previously :
2008 BMW X5 3.0sd MSport
2005 BMW 535d MSport

M badge on rear is fine if you have an M Sport trim as they come with about a dozen dotted round the doorsills, wheels and steering wheel etc anyway. Nobody 'in the know' is going to fall for a 'this is an M5' lookalike thing when there's a downward-slanting diesel exhaust on show anyway.
Where I do have a problem is where people de-badge because they have the lesser powered derivative (yes you do, be honest as you are only kidding yourself) ;-)

No your right 535 I don't have an 'M' badge, you should know me better than that ;) and I haven't de-badged it either quite like the 520d badge and even more so at the pumps :poke:

That badge on the 1M looks awful on the boot, completely wrong positioned.

Agreed. I have to say I like the idea of the 1M, but this just doesn't do it for me. I'm sure it will be fun to drive, but it would have to be a used e92 M3 for me :driving:

An M1 with an M3 engine for 40k would outsell M3s and M5s several times over which is why they would never do it.
