icebox auto sell something that i think may be the same.
their website show the older 6.25" models but i know people who have ordered and got the bigger 10.25" product. they stated they hadnt updated information on website.
I think its around £350 posted and from other peoples cars i have seen it looks identicle to this. They are very helpful chaps also.

I ended up going direct to Avin and at yesterday's exchange rate it was £393 delivered. Waiting for delivery but it will be good to get rid of the marked screen I currently have and add functionality.

Can anyone confirm if i need to get DAB and TV extras or will they pass through? I have both on my SD so would be good to not have to rebuy them

The screen works as a pass through, you press and hold menu on the idrive to toggle between your original system and android of the new screen.

Guess it depends if i think full screen is worth it on the TV then... :hmmm:
I'm running CCC so the screen is not fullscreen, not a massive issue i guess as it's not used as much as the rest of the car

Looks like a great upgrade though!
Easy to fit?

Yeah fairly. Plenty of how to remove things on YouTube.
The CCC unit is probably the most fiddly bit to remove. But again not that hard.

Hi All.
I've fitted one of these screens and they do look fantastic and a massive upgrade from the stock screen fitted. Fairly easy to fit and just be careful with the plastics when removing them. Support from Avin has been good as had a number of newbie questions using it.
I have the reversing camera and wireless module for this and wondered if anyone else had fitted one?
Cheers

Anyone else done this upgrade?
I would love to but I'm not savvy with audio kit.
Is it literally just a straight swap old screen to new?
I think my 2010 35d is CIC with Aux in as I can play music from a memory stick in the USB in the arm rest and update the satnav maps through a usb in the glove box.
Can anyone confirm that for me or how I make sure.
Also Avinusa offer loads of add on such as DAB radio and TV. Is it really that simple?
I would be gratefully for any help.
Thanks

How many buttons on the iDrive controller?
If it’s more than 4 then you have CIC, if not it’s CCC.

It has at least six that I recall so must be CIC then?
Thanks

Well I've fitted the same to mine and it is superb. Thanks weaselchops.
One little problem I have is that I can only get the mirror link to work through a USB cable and not without one which its supposed to do after initial setup.
Any suggestions? I'm using an android phone, Samsung Galaxy 5.
Also did you take an audio cable from the spare one in the factory original harness to the jackplug in the armrest in order to get audio to the screen unit itself?

Have you got a Wifi Hotpsot setup? Never tried it myself....
Only used the USB cable.
Audio magically comes through as "line-in",no extra cable required. But I have CCC, not CIC

CANBUS should carry it, some people have had luck...others not..
