I'll take some pics tomorrow in daylight. Replaced 1 front 2 rear sensors of e-bay about 18 months ago and haven't had any problems since. Hope I'm not tempting fate.
My front sensors don't work unless I press the PDC switch, is this normal mode of operation. Rears work and show up on screen when reverse selected?

thought it was to stop the beeping sound

Henry has upgraded his head unit to allow for a camera, the OEM unit didn't have this.
Yup, the front sensors need to be manually controlled from the PDC button, rears are automatic once R is selected.
My front ones are kippers anyway, and I prefer to you my rear camera instead of the sensors

My front sensors come on as soon as i put it into reverse .... i thought they were all like that
i agree that they're not trustworthy though they seem to scream that your too close well before you actually are

The whole system becomes active when you put it into reverse but if you want to pull up to a wall nose first you can just press the PDC button mate

Here is a picture of the speaker wires. Can't show the other because mine has a plastic cover which I can't get off as the LPG tank is in the way

Grumpywurzel/ian0028. You have confirmed mine work as should, whole system comes on and shows on screen when reverse selected. Have to switch on PDC if I drive up to something. Cheers lads

No worries bud. Not quite parking sensors in this clip but similar to a guy we watched at work who thought his PDC kicked in when he slowed down. Lovely brand new Merc it was too, er was.

I had similar problem few months back, only a long beeeeep for a few seconds then nothing,...did the ear test as explained on here,...the rear centre was not clicking. I replaced it with one from ebay and it worked a dream...Until my wife went and power-washed them. They're not working again so I did the ear test again,..all are working apart from the new ebay one,..the clicking is far softer !!...maybe I have to replace the same one again ??..or if I take it off and give it some tlc on the radiator and hair-dryer will activate it again ??..not sure ....

Well if she's washing the car, then you're obviously sat with your finger up yer arse, hence the need to detox the handles .....
