Great review, sounds awesome.
I have arranged to get a CAT6 tracker with the addition of an ignition cut out. That means it's better than a CAT5 where you have a remote key.
PM me for any details if you want to know more
Regards
Phil

Aha, is this a duplicate of the other thread...?
I'm getting 30-32 at the moment but I'm not being gentle with it since it's all 'run in'.
Probably happy with that on the basis my 335 only delivered 34 ish.

Apologies yes was busy jumping around the threads.
30-32 is really good for the performance and size of the thing.

Coming from an M5 being able to drive past a petrol station without looking at the fuel gauge and pulling in is a bonus

Funny that... I came close to buying an M5 this time around. Then I realised that during my two day test drive I averaged 9mpg. This, I told myself, is not a car to be driving 20,000 miles per annum in. I have no self control of the loud pedal.
To be honest, I've done 1600 miles, of which over 1000 has been motorway cruising, I expect it will come down

I manage better than 9 MPG
I drive my 2015 X6M in sport plus M2 mode most of the time and am averaging 18.5

Excellent write up & thanks for keeping us up to date
That's a real bummer on the ding on the door, but the windscreen really takes the biscuit, I would be absolutely disgusted :'(
I agree with you on the electric tailgate. I've had them on rental cars in the U.S. & quite liked them & always thought it wold be nice to have one. But now that I have one myself, I feel slightly irritated by it, but like you, just can't put my finger on exactly why, as there's nothing actually wrong with it. Just bugs me in some way or another
Run flats, I'm getting on okay with, despite some very poor road surfaces here. I thought they'd be much worse & wonder is it the adaptive M suspension, that's ironing out the rough stuff ?
I'm glad I don't have "Comfort Access", I just wouldn't like it at all.
Dash-cams, I've had them on my previous cars & must get around to fitting at least the front one on my X5. Can I ask what route you took with the wiring & where you took power for the front cam ?

I took the power from fuse 41 and 42 (if I recall correctly) under the drivers side panel. Very simple and much easier than my 1 and 3 series installs.

Is there an idiots guide to wiring a dashcam up, not sure on process?

There was a decent thread here somewhere - I'll try and search it out later.

Found it - was on another quality site:
http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/showth ... ht=dashcam
These are the fuse slots I've used - works a treat. The only thing I did differently is fed the cables behind the airbag at the top of the pillar, just in case ever deployed there is no chance of fouling that way.
Good luck, happy to help if you get stuck.
