I got a letter about a month before offering me an Extended Policy.  That is if your Supplying Dealer doesn't disappear.  The one who supplied my X5 did and we never received an offer as their records get sealed!

I bought it for piece of mind and was looking at the aftermarket warranties like warranty direct asking £550 a year . It seems £426 from bmw is a good deal and beside when it comes to selling the car you will  get the price you want or very close to it . It will hold the value a higher too .

My manufacturers warranty expires when the car gets to it's 3rd birthday in Sept 2017. Will BMW UK offer me extended warranty or do i have to initiate contact?
The car has only done 9000 miles thus far (09/2014)
Is it worth having the extended warranty for piece of mind or a waste considering the expected mileage of 10k a year?

Yes i agree that does sound very good for peace of mind. The car is a 10 year keeper in my mind,  so thanks for the input

Just wanted to ask of the Wear and Tear part....

How can it cover tyres? -Surely that doesn't mean free replacement of tyres if worn?

Tyres are excluded, or they are on mine, along with wiper blades, bulbs, filters, service items etc.....where did you see it included?
