Always liked Monaco, reminds me of our first 3er we got back in 02 which was in Orient (Not disimilar)
With 450bhp everybody will need to get out of my way!!!
:D :driving: Completely OT here but have you seen an A7 yet? seen a few adverts and have to say I like what I see (Did i just say that out loud) Will kill off the 3 registrations a year BMW get for the 5er GT :tumbleweed:
My fav blue is LeMans blue but wasn't going to pay silly money to have it - our TT is in fact very close to LM

Yes I've seen a few A7s, like the GT I don't fully understand but merc did very well with the CLS so assume audi will too. Looks a lot nicer than the 5GT too

Great to hear the DSB is a popular colour!

535dboy, I hope the transmission in the RS4 avant is a whole lot better than the Q5 - though I'm sure it is. Went for a test drive in the Q5 a while back and felt I could have put the kettle on and made myself a nice cup of tea, and drunk it, whilst I waited for it to get off the line at the lights !!

Our TT has the S-tronic box which is awesome. The RS5 I had for a couple of days had the new 7 speed s-tronic box which is even better and this is what I would expect the RS4 to get when it is announced

The DSB one just drove by my office window again - does look nice

BTW as for Silver I don't think it works, particularly on an MSport - there is too much Silver. Motorsport vision have a fleet of them in Silver and although it still looks nice it does not do the car full justice

Good point re too much silver, especially with the Oyster leather. I walk past a stunning silver X5 to and from work, but it's an SE plus running boards. I see it's also got the dynamic pack from the titanium grill. Oh my goodness, i've turned into an X5 geek - no one will want to sit next to me at a dinner party!!!

Titanium grills are for twin turbos or V8s

I'm sure we would be fine at the same dinner party!

On the Z4, DSB is being complained about being extremely soft and easily damaged. Just to keep in the back of your mind.

Sorry for the correction, but the only Blue the X5M comes in is Monte Carlo Blue and is not available inDSB and when you a say a third of the ones you see are where is this colour, where was this outside BMW at Thorne or at the docks in Southampton!!! Only seen 2 on the road and the rest on transporters up the M3/A34

I don't know why but every dark metallic blue paint I've sold on cars from various manufacturers over the years has had this issue and all seems to stem from when they went over to water based paints as discussed on the 'Z' forum. One of the biggest issues is that they use white or greay under coats which show up like a sore thumb, if they used a colour coded undercoat this would go along way to softening the problem.

@ MJim - If you like the idea of DSB but have reservations over chipping you could fit this stuff to protect the front end http://www.armourfend.co.uk/

Interestingly enough, my Toledo blue was great and never had any issues with that one at all.

I'm sure thats partly down to not sitting up the ar$e of the car in front which attributes to most stone chipping. A while back e70 owners were remarking on exessive chipping on the rear wings/wheel arches, particuarly on MSport modela as they don't have running boards. Not sure it this is still an issue, but if it is again Armourfending this area would help.
