XDSS.

I am assuming you have checked voltages on all connections??

Confirm you have 12v at the power leads
Then see what you are getting from the control core

You should see something on there, even if it is a pulsed signal.
That would discount wiring.

If i remember i'll have a poke around on mine at the weekend and see what should be seen from a (surprisingly) working one...

I believe INPA can activate fan, but need to confirm as never tried it for that part....
Going down the DIS route will give you many a headache.........  :-[

INPA can activate fan as I had it checked out on mine before I fitted a new fan .

Thanks Tim...
its quite possible that the original fan & ebay 2nd hand item are both knackered...
I will get this software running soon and see whats going on.

When you get set up, and are playing around, sorry getting used to the software...

DON'T muck about with the fuel pump activation on the Webasto.......  >:D >:D

When you then try to fire up the heater you will most probably lose the car in a plume of smoke!!!!
Guess how i know......  :-[

Ahhh - Smoke... I will avoid that one then lol...

I heard a great electrical formula, about smoke...

It goes as follows..
If you have a piece of wire that burns thru & smokes, or a device that fails & smokes..
It is actually NOTHING to do with current drain, Amps or Volts, electrons or Wattage...  :'(
It is actually all about the thickness of the wire & insulation... and the wire's ability to contain the smoke
It's all about keeping the smoke in the wire its self..
So, next time you get a wire that smokes... just replace it with thicker wire or wrap tape around it to contain the smoke, and allow the smoke to flow along the wire more easily...
You can also contain the smoke with more tape or burying it further under the dashboard.

Electricity is simple when you know about containing the smoke issue    ha ha..
Simples  :))  ::) :))

Sounds just like adjusting the fuse to the actual power needed.  If a 25A fuse keeps blowing instantly, replace it with a 1/4" bolt.  The fuse no longer blows.  Simples..........except now you have to worry about the smoke too.  See above for advice  :)

(The problem was in a Police vehicle where a portable road sign had cut - and shorted - the radio power cable, so an enterprising officer changed the fuse for a 1/4" steel bolt.  It didn't blow but the car suffered severe smoke damage as the copper power cable was fine, but the insulation melted along with the carpets!)

BUT...
back to the original concept.....the smoke escaped !!...
So refit a thicker bit of wire with more insulation and tape to contain the smoke  O:-)

Technically, that may prevent an escape of the smoke... so I think you would win that arguament.....
but...
how long could you hold your breath for ?
