Admin Post : Please be mindful of risks when posting. I prior removed post content detailing methods believed used to steal the car or similar cars & now see a map (which I accept omits the street name), of theft location prior to getting replacement which I assume is to be kept at same address

Update:

I located a car on eBay in a scrapyard that appeared to be mine at the start of the week. I called the police and informed them of the seller and details.
Today I received a call confirming it was mine.

It was apparently brought in at the end of November stripped with a blown engine.

The scrapyard told the police they paid £1800 for it.

The admin side was closed today so they are going back on Monday to discuss.

So what happens now that you've already been paid out by the insurance?

If they've paid out then the car belongs to the insurance company who will just sell it on to recoup a little of what they paid out.

Hopefully knowing what happened to it will give you kind of closure.
