I know what you mean! Mine came with 17in rims but all are in good nick bar one. I'm weighing up whether to just refurb the one or try and get my hands on a set of bigger rims as they do look better.

Get a bigger set! The 19" sport wheels don't cost the earth and look great!  8)

I think I will hold off and keep my eyes out for a set. How much should I be setting aside for a set?

Before and after pics of side steps fitted , looks awsome gives the car a more aggressive look , really pleased £200 well  spent.  :trampoline:

Damn damn double...triple damn....where's that envy smillie

Mines a silver 3.0d sport with 19".....looks just like yours did before steps

The jury was out even though the wife's has them on her sterling grey X5. Even the tints (which mine hasn't ) look good allowing for the front not being quite as dark

Dare I ask what the (cough) insurance would think of miracle appearing steps. £200 all in seems a bargain too

As they are an OEM part I doubt they would mind TBH.

As they are standard on most X5's I wouldn't even bother telling the insurance!

Not sure if the front tints are legal or not they do seem dark tbh , the steps were a bargain the guy declined a offer from someone else so I rang him to see what price would buy them lol so I snatched them up , why don't you swop the steps of the wife's car when she's not looking lol.

Now that seem like a plan....but I doubt she's go for it :(

Any tips fore securing a set as the prices are a tad wild.

My guess would be go for a full set....are the bolts different?

You'll need approximately 30 new clips as the oem ones are plastic pop rivets so I got 7 packs of these from wilco motosave  £1.99 a pack which I haggled them down to £1.19 a pack for buying bulk lol , the bolts came with my sidesteps but the original ones are near enough the same.
