The x5 feels like a lot of car for the money. The x4 seems like a lot of money for a car...
However, I said the same of the iphone 6 when I had my 5s. Few months later I was a proud 6 owner, so I reserve the right to change my mind.

I have had the X4 for some 15 months now and I thought I would share my views.
The X4 is quick, sharp and typically BMW, however it is not an X5.
There is no difference in fuel economy from my 40d X5, which is a little disappointing.
On a motorway trip the seats are less comfortable, with the internals pressing in to my lower back (may be just the one I have)
There is lots of grip, particularly noticeable when exiting a junction quickly!
Amongst other cars the X4 has little or no presence, unlike the X5.
Can I fault it - not really
Would I buy another - no
