Good spec, but what do you want advice on?  Some is standard, some optional.  What you have there is the 'build sheet'

X5Sport, I had some advice earlier that the 35k asking price is a bit high, should be around 30k as suggested, however upon doing a price check for this car number plate, this is what I get:

Car has 22k miles on the clock, dealer asking 35,999. Im a bit confused why you guys suggest a 30k price range?

Im basically looking for tips and advice  on negotiating with the dealer as I have no experience 

Dealers will always go for the highest they can get.  You should be able to get 10-15% Off that by haggling, same as can be got with some new models.  That car is not in short supply so cannot command a top book price.

Aim for £30k for a car from a BMW Dealer with an AUC warranty.  A lot of dealer warranties come with finance limits around claims or large exclusions that come into the open when something goes wrong.  AUC may not be perfect, and some dealers should be ashamed of the poor service the provide.  Their prices include the warranty which may cost them to set up.  Non BMW dealers will not normally be offering as wide a warranty - areas like the ICE completely excluded as an example.

So if the warranty isn't top notch then the price can't be top shelf.  You may get them down to £31k with a warranty, and that's saved you £4k to enjoy on something else.

Great post Richard, thanks so much for the tips great stuff!

According to listing, they have " Balance of Manufacturers Warranty. Balance of Service Pack Until Feb 17", not really sure what this means exactly. Does that mean warranty?

When dealer sent me pictures by email, I noticed that this X5 came from Barons BMW, familiar?

Also forgot to say, I can pay the full price cash, wondering if this can help when bargaining?

Factory Warranty is 3 years from date of purchase, and the original ?Owner bought a 5 year service pack.

So you have a few months of OEM warranty and then a service pack included.  You could then buy an extended warranty from BMW once the original expires - assuming you are allowed to which I don't know.

You will also need to add the Assist/Internet access contract cost too.  Was £130 a year and will need transferring from the original owner as it lasts 3 years from new too.

So it has a factory warranty and service pack and they still want top book!!

Defo room to negotiate.

Sounds good, now I need to start practicing my ability to negotiate 

Any advantages if I am capable to pay full in cash? Should I not mention this at all when setting on a final price? Sorry for all the questions, really a first time negotiating with a stealer

Not generally as they get a kick back in selling finance!!

Don't look to desperate.

Say you've seen plenty

Put an offer in and then walk away if they don't accept!!

hope it doesn't sell, also if your excited, dont show it, be prepared to walk away (another will come), if for some reason you find anything wrong and they agree to do/ fix the issue only give them the deposit first till its done if they have the full money and you have no car it could go tits up quick
