Great stuff Raj
really looking forward to following this thread and I have always loved the 335i and I foolishly thought they would be worse on fuel than my 330i so I didn't get one but from what I have read from other owners the fuel economy is pretty much identical if not a little better on the 335i.
Enjoy it.

Cheers Lee.
I'm getting about 24mpg but that's with a bit of wot lol

Already looking better, I know the guys at evolve from my Z3MCoupe days, they certainly know what they're doing.
As for the filters, will they not get "heat soak" being open to the engine compartment.
Tbh I'm not keen on Evolve and I asked em to put the old file back on and the response I got was we don't have it so want to charge me £100 to remap it back to stock.... >:( don't think much of their maps tbh but it's personal preference.
As for the filters. Yes you will get a little heat soak but they still seem to offer better breathing.
I'm surprised they're like that now, when Imran and co first started out they were really good, and would go out of their way to accommodate you, maybe just got too big to have that personal touch anymore.
I know they've worked on a friends M5, fitted a blower and have got figures of over 700bhp.
I'll keep an eye on this thread, it's bound to be interesting.

Ha ha oh well lol
Tbh silver wasn't really on the list for me as not that keen either but with the mods etc already done it was the only compromise.

Mine varies between 24mpg and 27mpg...so I reckon I would have been far better off having something which is a fair bit quicker as standard and then just awesome once tuned like the 335i can be.
I also love the rear exhaust set up on the 335i too, they sound nice as well.

Good thing it is isn't a vert isn't it, otherwise it would look like a wheel barrow with a handle each side

Nice one Raj, Congrats.
Looking at that mod list though, would it not have been easier to get a M3
)
I guess you've got the enjoyment of building a tailored car as you please
Looking forward to the updates

True, then it would have a proper engine too

But the V8 in the M3 has very little torque though and the problem with it is that max power is 414bhp at 8300rpm which is fine...but they only gave it 295ib/ft of torque which isn't when you need to shift over 1600kgs of weight...so you have to rev the arse off it to get it to shift so in reality it very rarely feels fast on the road :'( unless you drive like a clown (not a problem on a track though which it is very suited I would think)
Don't get me wrong I appreciate a high rev N/A engine for a fact...but they got it wrong with the V8 M3 for me...and now they have tried to put it right with the M4 but everyone is moaning about the M4`s noise and the fact that it cant put its torque down on the road so it seems BMW just cant really win sadly and credit too them that they have offered both variants in the past for punters to choose.

The power delivery is proper shove you into the seat. Can't wait to go even bigger power lol.
I like the exhaust look but still prefer quads lol

Cheers.
I've been fortunate that the mod list was completed by 2 previous owners so I have benefitted without the associated cost for once lol. However I will be making up for it with future planned mods LOL.

Love your need for speed!
you have the best of both regards the exhaust set up with the two lovely motors you have.
