Another quick question folks. As I am targeting the intake system I want to be sure all the muck has gone. I've been looking at products like the halfrauds intake / carb cleaner.
There seems to be quite a lot of products like this on the market. The thing that concerns me is can you really spray this stuff into the air intake of a running engine? I know it's not water but the prospect of a lock up concerns me.

FYI... I've used EGR cleaner on my previous Audi diesel and although it scared the s..t out of me when I sprayed it on idle and engine hicked up several times it did do the 'trick'.

I guess all these solutions are considered safe as they are sold in reputable shops and if you do follow the instruction re how to I do not think you would have an issue... always a risk though and adverse effects are always possible so to speak.
