Up to 2010 x3,x5 transfer boxes are chain driven and from mechanical point, its inpossiable to transfer 100% to the front (max 50%). From 2010 its bmw 2 gen. Xdrive system, no chain, gear driven, different clutch pack possition etc. I've never repair one yet, so can't tell if it's possiable to transfer 100 % to the front...
