As others have said, you don't lose anything low down.

Also, there really is no need to have another remap. Exhausts don't really do enough to warrant another remap.

Also, consider http://www.mijperformance.com as they are reasonable price wise for a catback exhaust and only takes a few hours and is custom to the sound level and tip design you want.

agreed, lower end cant tell any difference it feels and sounds better full stop. and you wont need to bother with another remap. i had my alfa gta mapped, put on another cat back system but no need for a remap. however when i replace to catless front manifolds then it will need a remap to take into account.

[quote=""paulbryson75""]I have my exhausts going out through the back - job was done prior to me buying the car and as such have no details on the technicalities - and can find no paperwork referring to within the cars papers.
Not the greatest pic - taken a while ago but i really like the look - and sound.

My system has two rear exhaust boxes, not sure about cats but the system certainly sounds ok - i would say better than the standard and i would not appear to have any adverse issues re the power or the mpg.

The same setup as I have on my 3.0d sport. What do you use to clean the exhaust tips, mine are in bad need of a good cleaning

I use autosol metal polish on mine & with a bit of effort they come up really nice.
Also use it on the the other halfs 330d with good results.

Autosol is definately the way to go. Always used it on my bike exhausts and many other applications too with great results.

A bit of fine wire wool can get heavy soiling off. Just don't rub too hard or you'll scratch the chrome/steel.

Hi Paul .
You said you had found some slip on tailpipes . Will these come out of the valance like on the petrol X5's or just attach to the existing pipes under the car . As like yourself I would like to change mine .

Thanks .
Paul .
