nice one... and banter aside, any thoughts re event - e.g. weekend breakfast at xxx motorway service station somewhere or track day for charity (been on one with 911UK forum group @ Brooklands couple years ago), visit/brekkie at some of the castle's we have in the country or nice country side hotels etc... plenty of ideas but it all boils down whether and if people are interested :).

thoughts/ideas/suggestions...?

In all honesty I think we should organise something. It's been wayyyyyy to long.

Even just a meet up and food/drinks could be cool.

Your house then

Can you shave first though please !!

For you of course….

I had a day hooning a Cupra R round a track and ended up being sick.... :-[

Considering I used to do aerobatics and NEVER had trouble I was surprised and disappointed at myself.  I've been alright going around Millbrook though.  Must have been the car......

If Silverstone isn't an option, we could always try to follow numpty with the GTR in proving the best way around Bedford Autodrome.  A Convoy of X3/X5 & X6 coming up in anyone else's rear view mirror would be a seriously scary sight!!  :drive:

A female friend of mine bought a mclaren recently.

She took it on a beginners track day and made herself sick too

She also got done for speeding on the way back too at 82mph which is a bit cruel given that I bet there are only a small handful of cars that Can stop quicker than one of those this making the 70mph limit a little old fashioned.

I've never claimed to be a good driver - today pissed it down and van nearly slammed another car in the back, THEN moved forward as was the queue in fron then suddenly stopped. I knew I'd hit him or the kerb...

Kerb it was, thank god, my little lady was safe - car I think is OK, RF's didn't pop when picking the kerb instead of white van man...?

Today has been an epic shit day.

I'm up for an x5/6 track day , I can tell you now though that the stock brakes on anything other than an x5m wouldn't last 2 laps if driven properly  :P

Very true my mates standard Astra Vxr with standard brakes were cooked after two laps a he had to slow down an let them recover, and that's a light car by comparison.

Although saying that the Ap racing brakes I had on mine old Vxr were fine for the whole session but they were built for that purpose.

I don't fancy a track day in the X5 tbh, just too much roll and weight for me, but I'd come and watch and laugh as it would be a sight.

My guess would be Ral 4.8is X5, would be okay as he has very big brembo's on his that would cope with the track.
