Just remember that these are the main things that connect the car to the road and this is 2.5t of car you have to stop and steer.

Scrimping here is not always good long term
Currently :
2012 Audi RS4 (B8)
2012 Porsche Boxster S (981)
2008 Lotus Exige S (a bit modified!)
2015 Nissan Leaf twin turbo with Nitros

Previously :
2008 BMW X5 3.0sd MSport
2005 BMW 535d MSport

Rolling circumference seems to be the key, especially given the sizes are different.  '*' marked tyres may have been shaved to match for staggered sets?

Toyos and hankook on reviews are quite good without the premium price tag which at some reviews haven't performed that well

Toyos I agree with.

Hankooks I am less convinced with

Thats what my research turned up, I bought the Toyos based on what I've read/heard about them, not based at all on their price.  Admittedly though the lower price is a bonus, more ££ for more important things [emoji106]

Toyo's were becoming popular over a decade ago. I think they are ok, but maybe a bit soft in general and also what I've read, so would be intrigued to see how life/ miles are with these

Hankook, is a bit newer to the UK scene to Toyo so playing catch up on support, but many Range Rovers, Disco owners use Hankook, they are again ok from reviews. There's no way getting passed Conti, Michellin, who are the premium brands, but there are many newer tyre brands which are good for UK without the hype and advertisement.

That said I've tried Khumo, several years people would grunt and say no to them, but as more performance cars and enthusiast use them like M3 owners then they become recognised. Other countires the likes of Hankook, Khumo, Nexen actually score quite highly

i'm just not a fan of the run flats on cars I've tried, 1, 3, 5, 6 x5 series I've tried

I bought the rears on ebay for £305 delivered, I had to pay £30 to have them fitted.

The fronts cost £320 fitted at my local tyre supplier.

thanks

let us know how you get on over winter, spring and mileage covered.
Would be interested to see the mileage you get out of these as I found once they hit about 4mm the performance of these drops off somewhat, but then again I was in a different type of car

Where was the crack and size?

Which toyos, size and price did you go with?

Have you gone toyo non run flat allround?
Hi, the crack was on the inside edge of one of the rear wheels, all the way through the inner rim!  Just a hairline but bad enough.

I went for the Toyo T1 sport SUV, 315/35/20 on the back and 275/40/20 on the front, cost £650 fitted for all 4, which I thought was pretty good value.

Yes they are non-runflat, that was the whole idea behind changing them.
How you getting on with them after a month?

I need a full set of tyres now

Hi, yes they are great.  Good grip wet n dry, good ride.

100% better IMHO than the runflats
