BM54 & ?
Re: BM54 & ?
Top right of your picture is the radio aerial below it the main connector plug both go into the BM54 which sits below the plastic cover. Bottom right is where the TV Video unit goes with its antennas and blue and white plugs. The AV in cable simply connects between the Blue connector on the TV unit and the blue connector on the cars wiring harness if you ever want to do it.
I hope that makes sense

Re: BM54 & ?
OK So basically I put the TV video unit in, sat nav disk player back in, connected them all up and nothing from the head unit. the sockets on the head unit, tried every way and still nothing. So what your saying is that i need this AV cable to get power to the head unit. If not then i have a problem. Do i need the BM54 in place connected, I am pretty sure nothing works without the BM54! These are pricey, cheapest on flea bay is £185.
do i just bite the bullet and stick with the Hauligian. Its good, Sat nav is fine, IPOD function is excellent. DVD is intermittent, not that I choose to watch DVDs in the car. TV is not good but whose TV is any good.
I appreciate your help mate, I know its only typing but at least it puts me in the right direction....hopefully

Re: BM54 & ?
There's a sponsor on m3cutters - carphonics....he's doing great stuff with bm54 modules - up rating the amps and digital tv etc. prices aren't too bad either.
Re: BM54 & ?
No you don't need an AV cable that is only if you want to add a camera or play station or Digital TV. You do need all the essentials though as I understand it the BM54 processes sound for the Nav, TV and radio the TV unit processes the Nav pictures and any other Video/TV inputs the Nav computer does other stuff as well as the navigation so you need all 3
I am told the latest Dynavin units can process the OBC information as well?
