Although fu is expensive everywhere it’s interesting to see mpg and regional differences in prices.
I'm happy to be in the minority or even alone. For me the repetition is like watching Groundhog Day.

Ignore me there will be no hard feelings :)

I dunno what you guys are worrying about really.

I’ve just had smart meters installed at home and according to the gas one I’m using……wait for it…..£132018.27p of gas….per hour! The boiler isn’t even running. The meter readings are fine but gas seems to have got really really expensive since this morning. :P

Had smart meters fitted by B Gas (mandatory) earlier this year. Apparently these do not determine what I will pay each month, my monthly DD prevails regardless. When queried B Gas said they are only an indication of consumption for the householders benefit. Wtf 🤔

I’ve stuck to a tariff that means we pay for what we use. I’m not giving BG an interest free loan thank you very much! The cost of gas has apparently gone down in the last couple of hours. It’s only £17,455.40 now. I only had these blasted things put in because of the EV. Seems my doubts may be well founded. :x

We had smart meters fitted by e-on a few years ago. At the time we were told "Never have to wait for a meter-reader again". n-power took on e-on's business in our area, and a few months ago (before the price of gas went north rapidly) we were far enough in credit that Wor Lass requested a refund. n-power said "We'll have to send a meter-reader 'round to check the readings before we issue the refund". WTF?? :?

If only I could keep this mpg……nearer 32 normally, though I saw 35 on a 185 mile motorway/mixed run yesterday

……and fuel is a sensible price at Costco now. £1-49 yesterday.
