Do they offer some sort of warranty?

I think mine have already been repaired so they cant be diamond cut again. Replacements are on order.

Lepsons always stand by their work, if it lets go and there's no physical damage, they'll sort it.

I've probably had 20 various sets of wheels done by them over the years, never had a problem with quality.

Just had a couple of mine done on audi by them. Verdict slightly out at the min with the colour match

Finally had my wheels replaced by john clark in aberdeen took 7 months to arrive. Lets see how long it takes for corrosion to start again

Mine going in Tomorrow for four replacement wheels under warranty...I've only had to wait a couple of weeks so I'm a bit concerned they've ordered the wrong wheels!

sure it will be fine john clark are pretty good. Hope you have plenty of time as they had mine from 0800 till 1745 said they where running behind

I bought my X5 at John Clark in Aberdeen but I live in Edinburgh (do a weekly commute to Aberdeen for work) so it's going into Eastern BMW for the wheel replacement. They did warm me up to the fact that they will have the car all day, it's not an issue though as I only live a mile from the BMW dealership in Edinburgh and I work at home on Fridays ( O:-)) so the missus can follow me down in the Golf and take me back home when I drop it off and vice versa in when I pick it up.

It's a fair trek into Aberdeen from Lhanbryde to Aberdeen for you...my missus is from Nairn so I've driven the A96 a fair few times...hate it when it's busy!

At least you wont be hanging about, the A96 is a shocker and aberdeen traffic aint much better but atleast its done now so happy days.

am i right in saying that bmw will replace wheels showing corrosion for up to 3 years from new but not under the AUC warranty program?

I have read that on another thread, but I think the poster said that BMW allowed it to go through on an AUC warranty as a gesture of goodwill, or at least paid half. I can't remember which.

I got mine replaced last week, all seems fine. She's going in from tomorrow until Sunday to get detailed...guy doing the work told me he had another X5 in is workshop that had wheels replaced under warranty but when he removed the wheels as part of the detailing process, he noticed they were in fact refurbished wheels, not new ones! When the owner of the car raised this issue with BMW, they immediately put their hands up and confessed, and ordered him new ones! I'll be asking my detailing guy to check my wheels too as I was suspicious of the 10-day lead time when people on here were quoting nine months. Hopefully nothing untoward will be found.

All 4 20" 333M Wheels being replaced FOC tomorrow morning. Covered under a goodwill warranty from Bmw because they are not covered by the approved used warranty. I just have to pay for the fitting of the tyres/balancing. I have only had to wait 3 months, I was expecting to wait much longer after reading things on forums.
I will report back tomorrow.

Mines going in for their attention soon and end of warranty checkup hopefully I get it approved without any fuss.

It's amazing a brand like BMW can/will allow this wheel corrosion problem to happen in the first place and how other manufacturers don't have this problem with their wheels?

Done ! All 4 wheels replaced. Took just short of 2 hours inc cleaning. Just had to pay £60 for the fitting and balancing. More than happy Now just hope they last.
