Haha, yeah I saw that thread earlier
Both those threads are years old though, the second one is from 2010, and the prices then were around £500 for the dynavin.
There was uproar (and a very funny thread, which I will try and find) on the e46 uk forum because overnight TTints upped the price from £500 to £700 for no apparent reason. The units hadn't changed, it just cost £200 more to buy it. (and that was the old, old version of the Dynavin too)
IIRC you can get a Dynavin right now for £500-ish, but it's the old model which reportedly has quite a few problems.
EDIT - Here's the thread: (Note the reply from TTints)

Haha, no
It was a bit of as silly explaination for a £200 price hike though 'We have upped the price because now it works....'
Prices has gone up as all the bugs & problems are fixed
The worst thing was that it still didn't work and for the next 2 years people who had bought posted constant issues with their units. I guess the new ones are much improved..They better be at that price!
But on E46zone TTints are now know as TTwats
They haven't exactly had great reviews, but unfortunately they are the official UK supplier, so you don't have much of a choice if you want a Dynavin.

this is a real blow to my product selection!! product selection was based on the merits of the product, unfortunately i did not know about the supplier. to be honest any such product is only half the story, honesty and relationship with the dealer is v. important for me; not to be expected from TTints i guess!
hmmm... the oem kit is not that bad after all i think
; especially with v32 upgrade and 2011 maps!!

Don't let that put you off!
With any luck you'll only need to deal with them once and never speak to them again!
And that thread above was a few years old, so maybe they've made some improvements....saying that it's still £700+
You could always ask John at car vision if he can get hold of the Dynavin units? IIRC he did used to supply the old model of Dynavin but changed to Hualingans

Just a quick update. Managed to sell my radio module today for £220. Add this to the £160 for the monitor and £100 for the broken mk3 nav computor takes me to £480. There's my Hualigan paid for then......

Q: I've just installed similar unit. But the CDC changer has no voice. I can see the new unit reading the CDs correctly, but no voice! How can I fix this?
A: Only Alpina CDC shall work with Hualingan

The antenna cable of the Hualingan is plugged to the OEM antenna cable (removed from RCM), but the sound in jamming & there is interference.
However, when I insert a needle and touch the inner pin of antenna cable plug; then the sound becomes very good. Where should I connect the antenna cable to?
-- UPDATE --
Just connected the blue wire (TUN-ANT) to a +12 VDC source; radio reception is just perfect!
