How does this process get applied - if it's in the paint?

Do they mask up all the bits that shouldn't get treated like a detail, then spray on or something?

Has the process changed now from when it was applied to the M. Obviously fully endorsed by yourself (otherwise you wouldn't have it done).

Easier of course as you've just popped home, but is the expense of having it done and the drive over, value for money - I think the answer is yes, almost £100k of car with a £1.5k (is that good guess) worth of paint protection, no brainer?

Results look great tbh - I'd have it done. Can it be applied to my house when it's finished???

Paint protection by Protech in NL. Adds a teflon like layer on the paint which prevents chipping and means you are seeing the true colour of the paint and not a changed colour by additional wax.

Also protects against bird droppings, can leave that for almost 24 hours in the sun without touching the paint

Some details here: http://protech.mc/guaranteed-confidence.html

Not available in UK...

Not for this product, most other products (such as supaguard or diamond brite) that dealers tend to flog are products that lasts like a wax, i.e. a few months or so.

This is a layer which is inside the paint, hence warranted for 5 years. I had it on my M which I just sold, which I never waxed and which still looked new and beaded like new when I sold it.

Is the price still the same as previous or has it gone up etc over time? Is it a one day process?

So its not inside the paint then.  Simply another form of top coat sprayed onto the car I assume .

It is described as going "in" the paint to fill any gaps as well. The cost was not that much different from last time, 680 euro excluding VAT. But as I have a UK VAT number, I did not have to pay the Dutch VAT for some reason. No complaints from my side  :))

Again agreed it looks good, but clearly its not in the paint ( clear coat ) in the same way auto glym super resin polish has fillers in it which fill microscopic swirls etc.  This is a much more durable clear coat protection.  Results look good!!

With the added bonus that you get to hang out in a coffee shop all day whilst it's being done!

You are punching way above your status with that one, especially coming from an Audi A3
