Being a bloke

Post by ITBarbie » Mon Dec 06, 2010 6:40 pm
Fair enough - but as the driver you are responsible for any fine and to be honest, I don't let anyone be a passenger in the car if they don't have their belts on.
Here here PVR I feel the same it drives me bonkers when people won't put on seat belts. I do find it annoying though when I put my WAG handbag on the seat and it bongs

Uh ... bags on the leather seats? That is even a worse crime then not putting your seatbelt on :)

If the bag cost £200+ then it's a passenger as far as I'm concerned. Lol

A £200 bag? Think of all the nice toys you can buy with that instead of a piece of leather that is only in fashion for one season so it seems ...

Mrs PVR gave me another bag to stuff in the wardrobe to give to her for Christmas. Always the same, "you don't need to buy me anything else". Yeah, right ... :D

Not true, if the passenger is over 14 years of age - they are responsible for the fine, not the Driver.

Hence why Taxi Drivers don't seem too bothered about the use of belts...

... If I was a taxi driver, I don't care who is responsible - you just don't travel in my car without it... I don't want them to fly through my windscreen or into the back of me if something were to happen!

Penny - I know what you mean about the WAG bag... my missus has the same argument!

It's the law. They are an exception.
In case they get attacked by passengers, the last thing they want is to be strapped in.
Milkmen are exempt also, as they are in and out of their vehicles every few metres.
