Car arrived...

Post by pvr » Fri May 09, 2014 6:55 pm

That gearbox is lovely, the automatic downshift rev matching is a nice touch as well.

Nice drive down in the Sun

Loving the sunroof and the full leather dash, the alcantara pillars etc. Really nice.

I am used to admiring decent metal close up but have always had a soft spot for 911's. My 1st appreciation  when a family friend owned a couple of classic shape 911's in the 70's , (when  relatively fewer owned these in the UK)...Perhaps for that reason I appreciate the Fuchs Design Alloys - I confess I was a little unsure re the decision for these to feature on a 991........that was until I physically saw them yesterday - IMO these & other retro styling aspects compliment the overall package & make for a fitting tribute to a true icon.

Probably the nicest execution of a Beetle I have ever seen  :P

It pains me a little to say it again.....but in all seriousness I am genuinely pleased for you ;)

Btw - We got home within the hour last night........So not too bad going  :)

Stunning looking car. Seen one the other week and was surprised it had 1/2 leather. Has this got full or half leather?

Went for the full leather option, did not like the fabric retro inserts.

AW8 - I trust you went back via Gatwick first though or did you forget that minor part?  :))

Thank goodness for that as it actually is nice to drive on normal roads, especially as a manual
