As on your other thread.....private or dealer sale?

Were you aware it had been disabled before you bought it?

The reason for asking is that if the pano roof fuses and switch are intact then you could be looking at a very large repair bill.  Some fixes are straightforward although fiddly and others mean a new cassette.  If - and at present it is ONLY an if - it needs a new cassette then you may be looking at £2k to sort it.

If this was a dealer sale and they kept quiet about it then you can take it back and insist they fix it.  Pano roofs are one of the E53's weak spots, and a few early E70's are showing the same signs now too.

hi there, when you say it has been disabled, do you mean the fuse has blown or been removed? or the roof just does not work and you dont know why?
does the sunroof headlining retact when the overhead switch is pulled back?
