PDC part no check

Post by Aevans » Mon Apr 28, 2014 9:39 pm

Hi all,

Looks like I have a failed PDC senor as I get a continuous beep when i select reverse. I've listened to each of the senors and the rear/middle/passenger seems to only make a very faint tick and the face has some wear so i assume that's the culprit. The rest 'tick' okay.

My car is a 2005 X5 3.0D Sport.

I have found what appears to be a suitable replacement part but wanted to sanity check it here before i order it.

Can anyone confirm if this is the correct part for my vehicle.

Thanks!

The part number he is quoting is 66206989069.  That appears to be for the X5 you have.

Realoem parts page here.  Item 4 used for all sensors.

Can anyone confirm if the rear sensors can be replaced purely from behind the bumper (via the tow bar hatch)  or if you need to remove the PDC cover as well?

Cheers
