First mod - done

Post by Rusty » Fri Nov 26, 2010 12:07 am

I know I'm starting small, but I've done my fist mod - changed the Angel Eyes lamps to LED's

What a difference! £35 delivered and fitted in 2 mins, can't be bad.

I would have had them earlier but HIDS4U originally sent me E71 upgrades, just a shame they only sent the LEDs and not the car :P

Anyway - what will SWMBO + budget allow next??????????

Thanks for that Kena :P

Not really worth a pic though :camera:

I have also bought OE mudflaps which I will fit when it warms up a little so as I can wash the car first (nothing worse than your sponge freezing on the roof at -4 as it was today and trying not to ice dance on the drive)
X did do well in the snow and ice this weekend, but I do think I will be looking for some winter shoes for next year - budget allowing.

First mod - done

I was really impressed with BMW parts dept. I phoned and gave full vehicle details when ordering the mudflaps. They informed me of the required parts and I collected them a few days later. When I offered up the rears, guess what, that's right, they didn't fit.

I phoned to check the right parts had been ordered only to be told that they don't make the rear mudflaps to suit my vehicle (as I have extended arches).

I now have to make another special visit just to get my money back for them all as you really can't fit front ones only. Thanks BMW, not.

So, note to self, don't beleive the stealers, grrrrrr

Think they may be sold by now, but that's why they were for sale. They don't fit when you have the wide arch kit...
