Interior trim removal?
Interior trim removal?
Hi guys, long time reader first time poster!
I have a beautiful 2008 E70 M-Sport 3.0SD (twin turbo) in black with beige leather/lower dash.
It was spec'd with the aluminium dash/door trims, to my eye it does not work well with the interior colour.
I did have a fellow come and wrap them gloss black but this was done on the car and subsequently isnt as 'perfect' as I'd like it.
I'm struggling to find someone willing to remove the trim and paint them! Any idea in the herts area?
Cheers, Paul

Cheers, I'm not 100% in my personal ability to strip my car to its bare bones!
Re: Interior trim removal?
I keep looking at the dent and scratches on our 35d dash trims and I think it's about time I did something with them, I did the carbon thing on my Mrs 123d a few years back and the results were great just don't think it will suit the X5.
I'll have a go at the glovebox later

Thanks Doc, we just tackled the job and your information was invaluable.
The trim will go off to paint this week, pics to follow. The car is currently in pieces!!

Re: Interior trim removal?
All done, took a good few hours to refit, happy with the overall result.
Re: Interior trim removal?
I couldnt see anything wrong with the original, but now looking at this it looks great.
Current: M50i arctic grey (G05)
Previous: RRS P400 HST, F15 M50d,F15 30d Msport, E70 35d Msport, 530i, Boxster, 330Ci Sport Vectra GSi, Chevrolet Lumina, Vxl Astras
It'll be allright in the end. If it isn't allright it isn't the end

Re: Interior trim removal?
Thanks, there wasn't anything wrong as such with the original, just me being a fussy old man lol. I likes what I likes! Yeah I'm pleased with the finished result, can really see the metallic when the sun catches the trim.
