Ok lets get this over with. I am a complete tube.
Before I got my E53 the clocks had been changed when the ribbon went. This was documented with the mileage etc. but its annoyed me cause they were replaced with derv ones.
So I decided to replace the background to petrol ones so that the revs etc match.
But whilst doing this I have managed to break them.
The needle for the fuel and speed no longer work.
So basically can I just buy any set of E39/ E53 clocks with the 3 plugs at the back. And do a straight swap?
Cheers
Mick

Re: Knackered clocks
Before you spend out try the general reset..
Disconnect battery for a few mins and reconnect..
Whilst its off check theplugs are inserted fully and correctly.
The dashes are prone to issues when you disconnect them incorrectly. they tend to get their knickers in a twist and do all sorts of funny things..

If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
