Help with resetting Bluetooth in caterham surrey

Post by Aevans » Mon Apr 21, 2014 10:24 pm

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and BMW's so glad to be here!

Just bought an 05  3.0D Sport in black and so far loving it!!

Now to my question. I'm struggling to pair my phone to onboard Bluetooth and having read lots about it on here it sounds like the limit of 4 has been reached and I need to reset via a  scanner.  I was hoping to be cheeky and see if anyone on here with a scanner that lives in the Tandridge / east surrey area that would be kind enough to reset it for me?

I'm also interested to know if anyone can recommend a BMW specialist in the same area as I'm sure in time I'll be calling on their services.

Thanks!

You do not need a scanner.  The handbook tells you how to clear down any unwanted pairings.

This is a copy of the manual (courtesy of our own Sanj) in a sticky in the Forum.  Look at the section on logging phones on and off on the third image down.  It appears to be no more than holding down the pairing button for the right time period and then turning the ignition on and off.

That should clear both pairings and the phone book.
