Hi I have had 2, first was on a v6 car about £500 for it so it was V6 and my initials then sold car kept it on retention for 5 years,

Then bought an Astra Vxr and had a VxR plate £400 sold it with car.

Now have the V6 plate on a TT convertible but that will be transferred off and either onto the newer 1 series or the X5

I did want to but the wife a plate but G1 NAS  was approx £25k which was belong my budgets so still looking.

A lot of plates with initials can be cheaper, the names attract more money, they are good if you want to disguise the age of the car.

I even believe Steve Parish managed to get the plate PEN *S which the dvla missed but not sure if idea that on my car!
Now: E70 X5 in Blue, 3 Minis Cooper S R53, JCW R56 & Cooper S Roadster R59 :drive:

Prev: Abarth 595C & 500C, E53 X5 4.4i, E88 135i M Sport, Audi TT Mk1 V6, 3 Smarts, 8 Vauxhalls, 4 Fords, 2 Triumphs, 1 Mini & Bikes

I think he was just referring to the construction of the letters i.e. resin type lettering which is slightly raised

If you want a cracking plate then simply change your name by deed poll to X127RKF and you can live the dream for 80 quid including transfer fee!!
