Really sorry...............I don't like it.

I hate those cut away headlights and that big lip on to the bonnet.

Why do they do that.....?? So ugly.

Dont like the back either , its an overgrown X3.

Thats why I bought an E70 just before production stopped, because I saw the pictures and hated it ( and got 25% off )

Its probably the last thing you wanted to hear , don't mean to burst your bubble.

Nothing would ever please you regardless, but it was supposedly developed by the BMW 'M' Team.

You won't like it because it's got a turbo (or three), got too few cylinders and burns central heating fuel, it weighs too much (in your opinion), is too big (again in your opinion) and it's a BMW which you spend so much time slating.

What the apprentice M team!?
My opinions are correct for what it is worth!!!

People like this in 3-4 years time will be driving around in one guaranteed.  Its always the same, people who cannot see style straight off take a while to grow accustomed to a look, be it when they were originally in the e53 club and the e70 came out, and then the e70 brigade for the f15.  Always happens.

535dboy is correct it isn't a full blown M car & it isn't meant to be, in fairness some argue the latest proper M cars aren't what they used to be either...but that's for another day!

I actually like the diluted M cars & I really like the look of the incoming M235i  :-[

Can I ask if you've seen one in the flesh? The original press pictures certainly did not do the car justice in that horrible brown colour. Anyway, each to their own, and you certainly haven't burst my bubble! My family and I love it, and the vast majority of people I know are very complimentary about it. Even if you are struggling to get past the looks, 381 PS and 740 Nm would help a wee bit!

As for the "Real M car" debate, I have to agree with those who say it is not a real M car, I double checked with the dealer and the review in Evo magazine kind of ripped the car to bits on that point alone. Also, if you go to the BMW website, under the "M" section, there is no M50d, it is under the regular "X" section.

I do agree they look far better in the flesh than pics. Saw a white one going other way on motorway other day

Think they could have done more with the back though.

To be honest all the new bmws are very ugly. The noises don't look right there to pointy not rounded enough.
Prefer the older style x5 a lot sportier. I've had a loan car for a few days the 320d GT and it's ugly as shit the backs a lot better than the 5 GT, But What have they done to the face. The same is going to happen to the new x6 they have also roughened the face of the car.
