Trolley jack jacking point

Post by Nick73 » Sun Apr 06, 2014 2:48 pm

Sure there is an easy answer to this.  Need to swap my cracked rim for the spare, I know there front and rear jacking points for lifting both front or rear wheels at once.  But my drive is a little sloped so I prefer just to lift a single wheel at a time.  So after all that - where do you guys place a trolley jack to lift one (rear) corner?

cheers

Under the relevant corner jacking point - but always on level ground and with chocks under at least two other wheels.  Look for the little rectangular points near each end of the sill.

Working 'off level' is too risky.  Especially with 2-tonnes of head crusher!

And you should have chocks next to the spare if I recall correctly.
But to your original point - I dint know if/where there is a single central jacking point - can anyone advise please?

I use the central points tbh and it's fine. The diff case is solid and so not really a chance of damaging it. But then I do use an Arcan trolley jack so has a flat jacking pad on it. Front one at 1 is also fine as it's just a solid central point specifically for jacking use.

Just look from the front of the X and you will clearly see it. Located near the oil filter housing etc.
