Newbie from Central Scotland looking for an E53 4.8is

Post by W88CHY » Sat Apr 05, 2014 11:32 pm

Hello,

I'm Charlie - live just between Glasgow and Edinburgh, and I'm after my first x5 after recently selling my 300C.

Only really looking for a 4.8is, been looking at the Porsche Cayenne too but in my opinion the x5 scores better on looks.

Is there anything in particular to look out for on the 4.8is?

If any forum member is thinking of selling - let me know as I can't post a wanted advert as yet due to just joining.

I'm away for a look around.....

Charlie

Hi and welcome, good luck with the search.  The 4.8is is a nice car to get.

Welcome aboard.

The 4.8 is a truly superb motor for sound and enjoyment but can be pricey to run.

What sort of budget?

Thank you for the welcome guys.

Budget wise - up to £10k for the right car, not afraid to travel the uk either.

I fully understand they won't be economical to run, I've had a few V8's in my drive so I'm prepared for that.

What are you budgeting per year for maintenance?
