PM notifications - slight change

Post by sp3ctre » Sat Apr 05, 2014 11:52 am

There have been a lot of instances of people replying to the email PM notification by accident, caused by the PM text being embedded in the email, meaning the reply never gets there as it goes to the admin email address.

We have implemented a change whereby the text of the PM is no longer in the alert email, meaning you need to login to the forum to see the content of the PM.

Obviously this is not as convenient in some ways but it does prevent accidental replies to PM alerts and thus messages going missing.

A friend of mine had an Esprit and I loved it to bits but much like my TVR it didn't work much and its one of the reasons I would struggle to buy a Jag or Land Rover as it seems to me the UK aren't that great at making cars...which I feel is a massive shame.  :(

Although JLR are doing really well at the moment so maybe they have found a way of doing it properly now.

My Dad purchased a Range Rover Sport a few years ago and he loved it but at the time I didn't have the heart to tell him about their reliability record!  :(

He was quite happy telling me how unreliable my TVR was though!  :)) he had a good point!
