Driver door handle

Can anyone help the outside driver door handle has stopped working on my x5 can open door from inside but outside won't u can pull it but it won't open please some advice or photos on how to fix please

Look for E53 Steve post 5sheets back?

Can someone give me some links for photos on how to do this problem and do I need this carrier as it's only the outside handle not working.....I have seen some on eBay saying genuine  part or do I buy from money bags bmw dealer

Had the same problem door opens from inside only, the problem was a broken cable but I couldn't manage to find a replacement cable so had to buy a new carrier that comes with the cable,
It took me around 2 to 3 hour to fit the new carrier as I had a problem with the door lock alinement ,
Not a hard job and next time I reckon i could do it in around 1.1/2 hr,
2004 3.0d Sport Facelift Remaped, Schnitzer styling body kit, Black leather
Neon lights, Elec fold in mirr, 6Cd changer,DSP, Sat nav, Bluetooth, Wood pack
Speed camera warning, Heated front seats, Wabasto heater, Auto wipers lights,  Rear view camera.

Thanks everyone for the info ,I have got a new part from BMW , but now do I try it myself or get garage to do, I don't want to break anything....

It's actually out-of-date. This is what you would have done, when we had the old GUI. I'll update it on the PC as soon as poss.
