Bent window trim at speed?

Post by Rob5 » Sat Mar 22, 2014 12:48 pm

I may or may not have been going a little fast this morning. When I got home I found both rear side window trim surrounds had bent back on themselves. Anyone else had this problem? Seems strange that both bent back at the same time.

Never had it on mine and it was tested (on a proper test site) at just under 130 on GPS.  I wasn't brave enough to try it any quicker, even on a banked circuit.

199 and no probs.

Really these shouldn't bend back - they have an aluminium extrusion on the inside. Shouldn't bend. Sure some twat hasn't been at em?

I'll get some photos on but I only went for a 10min spin up to MacD's and never left the car. The metal has bent right back on both sides, its bent beyond repair as the finish has now cracked. I can't believe I got into the car and didn't notice that!  :-[
