Coding CIC for Nav Display Day/Night change

Post by Caesium » Thu Mar 20, 2014 10:02 am

My nav allows me to change from day to night mode manually, I wondered if there was any setting to make this change automatically with the headlights?

I did a bit of a google (so don't shoot the messenger)but apparently the wiring loom that goes to the lights sensor doesn't extend the the E70 to the nav module, like it does on the F series cars.

What a lot of people have done is assign one of the shortcut keys to night mode (if there is no auto mode)

Forgive my ignorance, is this something that requires a computer to be plugged into the car?

How does this work, what's the trigger? Is it like in other GPS devices (like Garmin and TomTom) the actual time when sun goes down, or is it linked to lights switched on?

I assume your using NCS Expert, if so what module did you code??

Do you know if the code is the same for CCC units??
