Dynamic suspension specs vs standard

Post by SlowBiker » Thu Mar 20, 2014 7:25 am

Can anyone enlighten me on the specs for the sports suspension vs standard suspension?

The 2012 E70 Price List quotes the sport suspension (option 226) within the Dynamic Package (opton 330) and also has the option to delete the sport suspension (option 225).

Is the sport suspension option just uprated/stiffer springs.

Cheers

I believe so. Perhaps a few other physical components are slightly different too but but the upshot is simply a stiffer ride for sportier handling.

Adaptive suspension on the other hand is a whole different system which includes the ability to modify the ride characteristics from in the car

A while ago I compared the part no.s of standard vs sports suspension, sports suspension has different shocks, front springs and rear airbags.
We have sports suspension and 20's and to be honest the ride isn't that good on any road that isn't 100% flat.
