Not the x-drive, but I did test drive the 2 wheel drive F15 just to get a feel of the new 2 litre engine against the 3 litre one that I have been used to in a couple of 530d's and a 330d coupe over the past few years.
In the end I have placed my order for the x30d M-Sport simply because it had that little extra oomph, but I can tell you that the smaller engine is no slouch either, and for a while I was very tempted by the lower running costs and the fact that with over 200HP the 25 is still a force to be reckoned with - but that extra punch won in the end, even with the extra £4k or so on the tab over the equivalent x-drive M-Sport version..
I've gone for Glacier Silver with black Dakota comfort seats, which doesn't seem to be one of the most popular colours, but I like it and am really looking forward to delivery in early May.

No, but I did take a ML250 for a test drive and was surprised by the performance. In most cases it had more than enough power.
