Bye bye E53ers! Thanks for all your help.

Post by Steve Blackdog » Fri Mar 14, 2014 8:32 pm

As some of you may have noticed from my gearbox thread, I have decided to part-ex our old faithful E53 against an E70.  I will put the snowflake wheels back on and sell the new standard alloys I put on for the non-existent snow!

As we have owned this car from new, I can say that the E53 has been the most reliable and most enjoyable car either me or my partner have ever owned - 70 years driving between the two of us!

The choice of another X5 was very easy.  I may not be posting queries for a few years yet, but I know that the members of this forum make it much more fun to own an X5 when they start to grow old.

A massive thank you to all of you who have helped me over the last few months.  Enjoy your cars and drive safe.

Enjoy the E70, and don't stop being part of the E53 Team......you may be able to shine light on other '53ers little challenges....

Hope you have at least another 10 years of trouble free motoring with the new car! Would it be too much to ask for some pics of the old and new?  :-[

I will join you may be one day with an upgrade. Just fell in love with the newest guise of the X5 (in CB). Damn I didn't like this car in the showroom and then this turned up! Grrrr...

Congrats on the new purchase.

But as said above doesn't mean you can't still post up here.
