No, disconnect the battery for an hour, reconnect and try again.

With these BMWs disconnecting the battery for a while is as good as "take two Aspirin and call me in the morning". Even the BMW techies try it first. Sometimes it works due to some part of the car having a brain f8rt and needing an attitude adjustment.....
