Replacing the 4.6is with this
Better pics to follow but you get the idea.
It's a 3.0d se with dynamic pack, media pack, comfort seats, advanced hi fi and a few other extras.
The 4.6is currently up for sale. I'll miss it for various reasons but I'm so glad I made the upgrade.

looks stunning, I seen a few of these where I live and they stand out, I love the black because you can polish it amazing. But if I had a choice I'd look at a white one. Looks nice with the arch extensions and paint on them, does it look as wide as a M sport this way? Would help me on painting mine.

You seem quite obsessed with how wide an m sport is it seems from all your posts lately !!! lol!! The m sport is no wider than an se with dynamic pack and 20"s on which then have arch extensions as standard.
The m sports have different wings on the front in the fact that the wing is technically the front bumper aswell. They are different to an se, but no wider bud.

Congrats, nice looking car. Out of interest, how do you find the performance of the diesel compared to the V8?

The msport bumpers front and back are as wide as the arches on an msport. If you notice on an se with arches that the arches sort of start flush with the car where they meet the bumpers, but on an mspprt they keep a constant width because the bumpers come out to meet the arches, its easy to notice on the back more so than the front. It's not massively wider though once you have the arches on an se.
I have always had only m sports through and through but bloody hell they cost much more in the e70 and the dynamic pack plus arches and aero kit get you as close as you need to be for most people. I will be getting the aero kit.

Cheers Don. No competition really, the 4.6 is over 100 bhp more powerful and it shows certainly when pushing on, but day to day driving the diesel is fine. I will remap it definitely, but it's actually a nice smooth, torquey little engine. On the motorway is where it shines as its smooth as silk but then overtakes in a doddle.
When I decided to change, I knew the end result would be a slower but all round more modern experience. The 4.6 goes faster than you ever need a 4x4 to go for a sane person anyway.

A ha! The funny thing is this is a sapphire black car wrapped white by the previous owner.
You know me, not afraid of a little vinyl
I was actually looking for black with the intention of getting it wrapped my self so when I saw this and it had the pull of hard to find comfort seats which I love, it made sense. The previous owner had a full Raccoon job done which included door shuts and cost him a fortune so I was not going to complain.
I think if I had never had my m3 wrapped I would probably be dubious about this, but I'm a vinyl veteran so it's nothing I haven't lived with previously.
Obviously I've not seen the paintwork underneath which is a slight concern, but I know from experience that any deep marks, poor repairs, patches or scratches show up through the vinyl anyway. I had to just take a punt really. The wrap looks good anyway and i have no intention of returning it to black for the foreseeable.

Something made me wonder if it was a wrap anyway given white was a less popular colour back at that age
Good job and I'm pleased you are pleased!

Re: Replacing the 4.6is with this
i saw this advertised elsewhere for sale few weeks back. Those pdc sensors stick out like a sore thumb, get them white would look better. And those wheels need to go gloss black along with the grills. Then all is okay lol. It has a beige interior yes?? ideally finding a red or black leather would look good on the white

You know me too well. And yes a57 plate white car is very rare, unless it's one of the ex police cars with inter galactic mileage.

No it's a black interior. There odd a white wrapped one up with a cream interior so maybe it's that you saw.
I quite like the 'bullet hole look' pdc sensors. I had it the same on my white m3 and at the time I planned to get then done in white but the look quickly grew on me. Ever since ive always preferred that look. Maybe it's because it brings back good memories
