Newbie X5 Owner.....Happy Friday :)
Hello to one and all, just thought I would post on here and say hello.... I have a 335i Coupe and just bought an X5 40d to go with it, 2011 Deep Sea Metallic with Oyster leather, comfort seats and lots of other toys....
I had an E53 X5 years ago so it feels familiar having this one, kind of like coming home haha. Well after having a Q7 and a RR Evoque im extremely happy to have the 40d X5. I did have one issue with it, for the last couple weeks I was sure it felt slow and not how it should do. I have had a 535d and my dad had an X6 40d so I know how it should have felt. I decided to take off the engine cover for a quick look and I discovered the air cleaner was totally blocked up with dirt, grass etc. Bit strange as it was replaced only 20k miles ago by Sytner BMW... ::) Anyway, I bought a replacement and fitted it and well it now feels like its had some rockets fitted hahaha.....Well pleased with it. Only other issue I had was water in both inner rear lamps so have bought and replaced both of those....Will post pics once taken some...

Welcome, nice colour scheme. Now I know you have said pics to follow, just don't leave it too long. As for the 335i, I had the 335i convertible a few years back, a real rocket ship and loved the way it drove, but due to its leaking roof and BMW unable to fix, the car was returned. All the best with your new ride.

To be honest I never would have specced them from new as they seem to be a pretty high cost, I think theyre 2-3k from memory . However now I have a car with them I must say I absolutely love them, they are one of my favorite parts of the car now! Definitely the most comfortable seats I have ever had in a car....

Lovely looking car and the interior is beautiful.
I would love cream seats in mine.
I also have comfort seats and have added lumbar support and adjustable neck cushions.
I don't know how they compare to std seats but they are lovely to have.
There is so much adjustments it's unreal.
For me the x5 is all about comfort, I almost wish mine didn't have run flats or sports suspension.
But the seats do make up for it.

Yes when I started looking I had already decided Oyster was a must so that limited the choices!
The wheels on the 3 are Atomic 19" CSL reps but they have 9.5x19 ET33 rears which are quite deep concave...

Lovely cars. The comfort seats are a must once you've had them. I picked up an e70 on the weekend and it was the comforts that really clinched it having had them in a previous 535d
